The goal of foxborohockey.com is to promote the sport of hockey in Foxboro as well as to provide information on teams playing in and around the town of Foxboro, specifically the Foxboro High School hockey team and the Foxboro Middle School hockey team.

HIGH SCHOOL NEWS

2/18 - Foxboro finished out the season strong, coming from behind to pull out a tie with Oliver Ames and then thrashing Lynn Tech, 15-1.  The Warriors finished out the season at 6-12-2  

The Warriors ended with a 1-4-1 record against Hockomock League foes with several of the losses being close, winnable games.  The other teams in the Hock realize that the Warriors will come into next season hungry, ready to show they belong!

MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS

2/18 - The Middle School Warriors lost to Norton, 6-1 in their final regular season game.  Click the link at top of page for more Middle School info.

The first playoff game is next Sunday March 4 against Oliver Ames II at 2:00 pm. at the International Ice Center in Raynham.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • The Year-End Banquet will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at the Funway Cafe on Route 1 in Foxboro.  Reservations can be made through Maureen Frangioso at 543-6112 or Linda MacLaine at 543-9188.  Tickets are $16.00.  Dinner will be at 6:30 pm and the choice is chicken parm over linguine or prime rib.  Players and invited guests will be paid for by the Foxboro Skates Booster Club.
  • In conjunction with the Lion's Club, the Foxboro Skates Booster Club will have a Bottle & Can Drive on Saturday, March 31.  Leave your empties at the end of your driveway the night before or EARLY in the morning.  Representatives will be driving throughout Foxboro between 9 and 12 for pickups, with the proceeds being split by the Lion's Club and the Booster Club
  • Check Cable Access channel 8 for broadcast of Foxboro High varsity games (taped).
  • Cable Access TV will make copies from their master tapes of all taped high school games for a fee of $20.  They will also make copies of last year's Highlight tape made by Alex Jacobsen.  Contact Mike Webber, Operations Manger at Cable Access Office.
  • 2000-2001 Foxboro High School Season Programs may be purchased for $3.00.  Contact Shelia Snyder for a copy.
  • To get to the Raynham International Skating Center, Foxboro High School's home rink:  Take 495 South and get off at Exit 8.  Turn left at the end of ramp, onto Rte. 138 North (Broadway).  Follow 1 mile, going through 1 set of lights.  Rink is on the left.
